FleX-RAY at the PSD12 Conference

August 19, 2021

Our first conference participation is a fact! FleX-RAY will participate in this year’s PSD12. Τhe 12th International Conference on Position Sensitive Detectors occurs between the 12th-17th of September in Birmingham, with online attendance also available. In its 12th year of existence, the conference focuses on the latest developments on position-sensitive detectors in different disciplines presented by renowned researchers from the international scientific community.

Amongst the multitude of submitted abstracts, the FleX-RAY project has been accepted to present a research poster on the “Flexible X-Ray Imaging Detectors Using Scintillating Fibers.” The poster presentation will be conducted by the University of Sheffield and, more specifically, by Scott Wilbur. Thus, this conference is a great opportunity to disperse knowledge to the research community about how we aim to create the first flexible digital imaging detector using Single Photon Avalanche Photodiodes and inorganic scintillating fibres.
